Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A part of the Democratic Party, she previously served in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to the election to CNN between 2017 and 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001 when she began working for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki was appointed as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 13. The appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House,[21] but on May 30th, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to White House in 2015 to become the communications director. She remained with the Obama administration until its end.
